The mission of commercial finance is to drive profitable growth. This role is a partner, or extension, of the commercial organization providing financial acumen and analysis sales and marketing, and the broader organization. The right candidate is familiar with ValuePlus and familiar with best practice recommended by Commercial Excellence. Direct involvement and analysis in events with opportunity to materially affect Amcor. Including, but not limited to, GKA and significant customer bids and activity, major equipment investment, plant divestitures and/or closures. Price - mentor directors, analysts, and specialists and equip the market segments with the tools and methodology to assess market risk and set price strategy. Cost SME, mentor the broader organization including commercial, operations, and finance organizations in true profitability comprehension allowing for the best business decision. PMDB advocate and SME. Commercial best practice lead. This role supports customer contracting functions, bids, pre-emptive contract activities and software implementations as appropriate. Financial reporting specialist and expert responsible for oversight of GKA reporting and other major customer report. Familiar with Pricing Parent reporting concept as well as other reporting parents used in AFNA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10 years of business or commercial experience
  • Collaboration and Influencing: Works well with others who do not work for you; works as a team to have a positive impact on business performance; not intimidated to address process/performance gaps in People, Process, and Tools (systems, leadership, and personnel).
  • Analytical Orientation: Focused on the improvement of business results through analyzing data.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and/or support ValuePlus initiatives for accounts, specifically strategy, content, and financial components
  • Validate price relevance as part of a bid or as part of ValuePlus strategy
  • Equip senior management – including AFNA leadership – with pricing methodology knowledge concepts via training and education
  • Support plant profit teams when assessing business profitability via PMDB and other analysis
  • Partner with GKA leads, market, and sales leadership in achieving budget growth and profitability goals
  • Support marketing leadership with business intelligence on histories, competition and technologies
  • Assess market price relevancy of existing and potential (bids/quotes) business
  • Participate in customer strategy development functions, price methodology alignment and product line leadership activities.
  • Quantify, review, and approve contract financials, including, but not restricted to, price, profitability, and cashflow (including contract terms)
  • Authority for the maintenance processes for critical pricing methodology data components, specifically: RMR (raw material reference) Price adders using market data (feedback) Reference sets (segmentation)
  • Work directly with consultants in the refinement of methodology and developed tools
