About the position
This is a full-time position with Main Enterprises, Inc. Main Enterprises, Inc is a fully equipped plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning company headquartered in Stratford, Connecticut. Emerging as one of Connecticut's largest major mechanical contracting companies, Main Enterprises applies new technologies, refuses complacency, and has done so for over 100 years. Licensed Journeymen with commercial experience that possess the capabilities to perform start-up of new equipment, commissioning, warranty service, diagnostic service. Responsible for installation, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing all major brands of commercial HVAC equipment. Work may include commissioning, start-up, adjusting, repair, modification, and/or replacement of HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform start-up of new equipment
- Commissioning and warranty service
- Diagnostic service
- Installation of commercial HVAC equipment
- Inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems
- Troubleshooting and servicing HVAC systems
- Repairing all major brands of commercial HVAC equipment
- Adjusting and modifying HVAC equipment as needed
- Accurately estimate time and material requirements for repairs and replacements
- Execute and follow company required documentation and paperwork
- Work as on-call technician during rotation period
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Connecticut driver's license
- High School or equivalent degree
- Relevant Connecticut trade license (S-I thru 2 or DI thru 2)
- Possess or able to be trained for OSHA 10/30 certification
- Minimum five years commercial service experience
- Basic knowledge of complete mechanical systems
- Knowledge of trade materials, tools, means & methods
