Position Description Commercial/Industrial HVAC Maintenance Technicians perform maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment in commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will conduct quality inspections, log unit operations, and perform general maintenance tasks such as changing filters, belts, and clearing drains. Technicians check all motors, identify potential issues, and provide quotes for any problems discovered during maintenance. This position focuses on preventative maintenance, supporting experienced technicians, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently, while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers. Technicians also manage assigned work to ensure professional, efficient execution and customer satisfaction. All service and maintenance activities are documented using Mobile-Tech software, including work orders, maintenance checklists, and daily timesheets. This position provides opportunities for growth into a Service Technician role. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or five years of related experience).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Universal EPA certification.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC building systems.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in mechanical rooms or on rooftops.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in various environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment such as air handlers, rooftop units, condensers, and exhaust systems.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and minor repairs under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Replace basic components including belts, filters, and lubricate moving parts.
  • Inspect equipment and report issues or abnormal conditions.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work area and mechanical spaces.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Complete basic maintenance documentation and work orders.
