About The Position

Glenwood State Bank is seeking a dedicated Commercial Lender for a full-time, non-remote role based in Alexandria, serving local entrepreneurs and business owners through personalized financial solutions. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships primarily with commercial customers, analyzing financial information, and assessing loan risk. Our Commercial Lenders work closely with customers to understand their goals and provide customized lending solutions to meet the needs of businesses. This position will actively engage in community events and initiatives to build connections and represent the bank; and stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and new financial products related to commercial lending. The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge and experience to help grow and mentor teammates, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting the continued development of the commercial lending team. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial loan portfolio management, including a demonstrated understanding of financial statements, credit risk, and loan structuring
  • strong desire to establish and maintain community/customer relationships
