About The Position

A Commercial Lender works closely with the Division President to effectively develop and process loan opportunities. The lender develops various referral sources, contacts loan prospects and manages deals through the credit and closing process. A successful commercial lender must be able to coordinate loan applications and provide the credit department with complete packages. He or she must be able to communicate effectively with clients and develop a strong working relationship for future business opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial lending experience.
• Knowledge of underwriting, financial analysis and commercial loan regulations.
• Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized; ability to multi-task; attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Work with referral sources and direct prospects to identify, qualify and package commercial loans.
• Have working knowledge of underwriting criteria for commercial loans.
• Exhibit ability to provide complete loan packages to credit underwriters.
• Assist closers with loans funded by investors and/or interim loan closings.
• Work with Marketing to create effective marketing plans and monitor activity levels.
• Be able to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
• Keep management informed of current activities and significant issues.
• Ensure work area is clean, secure and well maintained.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
