Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of insurance products and policies.
  • Strong ability to determine optimal insurance solutions for clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Active Property & Casualty license.
  • 3–5+ years of documented successful insurance sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Suite.
  • Ability to travel during the day up to 60%.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and minimum state-required vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new business through calls, emails, visits, and lead-generation methods aligned with agency guidelines.
  • Conduct client and prospect appointments to assess insurance needs, present proposals, and explain coverage options.
  • Submit, rate, quote, and place new business in line with agency and carrier guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit accurate insurance applications, underwriting data, and loss histories.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and service teams to negotiate optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Develop and deliver detailed formal insurance proposals.
  • Support cross-selling initiatives through a mutual referral network.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Meet or exceed predetermined sales goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, agency, and carrier personnel.
  • Follow agency workflows and properly utilize the AMS360 and CRM systems.
  • Complete sales reports, track pipeline activity, and attend required meetings.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
