About The Position

Trimble-Batjer, an Alera Group Company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager to join one of our top producing Property & Casualty teams in San Angelo, TX. The Assistant Account Manager plays a critical support role within the Commercial Lines department, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities span across policy processing, client communications, and administrative support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position is desirable.
  • Must be licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) per state requirements.
  • Should have thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer, Office and Adobe Suites. Previous experience with Applied Epic is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the "right hand" to Account Managers by accurately processing endorsements, policy changes, and cancellations to ensure client coverage is uninterrupted.
  • Take ownership of the certificate issuance process and policy checking, ensuring all client deliverables are precise, compliant, and delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with the team to create professional proposals for new and renewal business, gathering necessary data and spreadsheets to support the sales process.
  • Field billing inquiries and routine client questions with professionalism, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day account needs.
  • Maintain immaculate client records in our agency management system (EPIC), ensuring that all files, correspondence, and policy details are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Utilize strong computer literacy to navigate carrier portals for quoting and policy retrieval, while quickly learning and mastering our internal systems.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities to expand your insurance knowledge, with a clear goal of advancing to an Account Manager role
