About The Position

The Commercial Lines Marketing Assistant provides administrative and technical support to the Commercial Lines division. This position is responsible for ensuring that remarket and new business submissions are accurate, complete, and distributed to carriers in a timely manner. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and consistent follow-through. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with underwriters, carrier representatives, and internal teams to support marketing and client service objectives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Applied Epic preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist marketing and sales staff by obtaining market information and performing related research.
  • Rate new and renewal policies, complete applications, and prepare required documentation.
  • Service the assigned book of business as it relates to marketing, claims, administration, and sales support.
  • Respond to client inquiries and maintain accurate correspondence records.
  • Enter and maintain account information in the agency management system (Applied Epic) and generate reports as requested.
  • Market new and renewal accounts in accordance with established procedures.
  • Evaluate carrier proposals and assist in the preparation of product presentations.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with underwriters, carrier representatives, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, carrier requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuing education to maintain current knowledge of products, systems, and industry developments.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
