Summary The Commercial Loan Closer plays an instrumental role in processing and closing commercial and small business loans. This position serves as a liaison between the credit department, loan officers, and attorneys to prepare and close loan files. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Business and/or a related field preferred.
3 years of banking experience.
Experience using LaserPro, and CSI/NuPoint preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, along with analytical and organizational skills, customer service experience, ability to work independently and as a team.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
A good understanding of loan application policies and procedures.
Willingness to become proficient in new technology platforms as implemented by the bank.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to walk up and down stairs
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Business and/or a related field

Responsibilities

Serving as a main point of contact with loan officers/closing attorneys/and other parties involved in the loan transaction throughout the process of closing.
Responsible for building a complete loan file containing all required documentation.
Completing the attorney checklist.
Preparing and maintaining the pre-closing checklist (CIP information verification, government lists).
Ordering appraisals and environmental studies, completing engagement letters and processing invoices for payment.
Logging the engagements of appraisals & environmental studies.
Ordering flood searches.
Preparing all closing documents.
Scanning the loan file after closing.
Maintenance of the Commercial Loan Application Register.
Complete applicable follow-up for any document exceptions.
Maintenance of file room.
Other tasks and projects as assigned by the AVP, Servicing Manager.
