Axon is seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst to support both our Sales and Finance teams. This is a highly visible role where you’ll play a key part in structuring complex deals and ensuring a seamless customer experience. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment — someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do next, but also values collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning. You’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team that works cross-functionally with Sales, Commercial Controllership, Order Processing, and Accounts Receivable. Requirements

  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail with low error rates on quotes and deal documentation.
  • Ability to analyze contracts, identify obligations, and flag compliance risks.
  • A clear, concise communicator who can simplify complex information for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency or strong aptitude in Salesforce CRM and CPQ; ability to troubleshoot independently before escalating.
  • Collaborative and cross-functional by nature — comfortable working across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
  • Able to work autonomously while knowing when to escalate through the right channels.
  • Eager to grow into a subject-matter expert on Axon's quoting tools, pricing structures, and deal processes over time.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in sales operations, pricing, or commercial operations
  • A strong finance orientation and attention to detail, particularly with numbers and data sets
  • Salesforce.com CRM platform experience (CPQ preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, what-ifs, templates, etc.)
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • A proactive mindset — you take ownership of your work and seek out solutions
  • A collaborative approach — you're comfortable asking questions, sharing knowledge, and working as part of a team
  • A service-oriented attitude and comfort navigating cross-functional discussions
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Structure and support complex commercial deals across key accounts, working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Legal to ensure efficient delivery and accurate financial outcomes.
  • Maintain accuracy in Salesforce CRM, including custom contract terms, pricing, and discounting — with heavy use of Salesforce CPQ.
  • Build deep expertise in Axon's product catalog, bundles, pricing structures, and approval flows — becoming a trusted resource for Sales on deal formats, non-standard quote requests, Excel supplements, and custom reporting.
  • Analyze existing customer contracts to identify performance obligations, flag risks or gaps proactively, and ensure proper invoicing, documentation, and compliance.
  • Participate in testing for new product launches and system updates, providing structured feedback as part of test cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Order Processing to ensure timely and accurate deal execution.
  • Communicate clearly with cross-functional partners — providing guidance in line with standards and policies while keeping unnecessary back-end complexity out of the conversation.
  • Contribute to team-wide efforts, projects, and process improvements as needed.
