About The Position

Seeking an Experienced Commercial Roofing Service Estimator/Inspector to join our local team! Location: Greater Dallas Area – In-Office with Regular Job Site Visits The Commercial Roofing Service Estimator/Inspector, under the direct supervision of the Service Manager, is responsible for collecting technical project information, preparing accurate service pricing, and supporting the execution of service, repair, and maintenance projects. This position provides estimating and technical expertise for both existing customers and assigned new customer service opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and service repair methodologies, highly preferred.
  • Ability to read work orders, specifications, and service documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, estimating software)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing or similar construction experience, service-focused preferred
  • Estimating experience in commercial roofing service environments strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and roof inspections to collect accurate technical and job-specific information
  • Assess existing roof conditions and identify service, repair, and maintenance needs
  • Interpret field data, photos, and documentation to support accurate estimating
  • Prepare, compile, and review accurate service estimates, bids, and proposals
  • Develop clear, detailed scopes of work aligned with Service Division standards
  • Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing when required to support service estimates
  • Ensure estimates reflect accurate labor, material, equipment, and execution requirements
  • Support timely proposal completion to meet customer and service timelines
  • Provide estimating and pricing support for new customer service projects assigned by Service leadership
  • Perform technical evaluations to develop accurate scopes and service pricing
  • Ensure pricing aligns with Service Division margin expectations and operational feasibility
  • Identify service solutions that support long-term performance and lifecycle value
  • Review scope, pricing, and risk considerations with the Service Manager and/or Service Director prior to proposal submission
  • Work directly with Service leadership to ensure estimates align with execution capabilities
  • Participate in pre-job and post-job reviews as required
  • Compare estimated versus actual costs to improve future estimating accuracy
  • Maintain organized project documentation to support service execution and closeout
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding scope, findings, and service recommendations
  • Maintain effective collaboration with service operations, sales support, and leadership teams
  • Support smooth project handoffs through accurate documentation and communication
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned in support of business unit objectives
