About The Position

A Commissioning Project Engineer supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment
  • Experience in data center engineering or operations
  • 3+ years of construction or project management experience
  • Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
  • operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent
  • Experience in construction or project management

Responsibilities

  • Manage project milestone auditing and calibration with partner teams
  • Create and maintain Procore tooling for project setup and tracking
  • Develop and implement Modeled Change Management (MCM)
  • Manage commissioning vendor (CxA) relationships and deliverables
  • Track and report project metrics and observations
  • Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents
  • Support commissioning execution for Phase 1 and Follow-on Room (FOR) projects
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across data center regions
