About The Position

The Professional Development Team has 6 committees that manage different aspects of the professional development portfolio. Below are the main goals of each committee: Industry Relations: Provide Queen’s students with the opportunities and resources to help them connect with and stand out to employers. Workshops: Provide Queen’s students with opportunities to gain and fine-tune professional skills before graduation. Marketing: Publicize all Professional Development (PD) events across a variety of platforms (ILC, social media, AllEng, and PD Connects) to make students aware of upcoming opportunities and increase student engagement. Alumni Relations: Provide Queen’s students with opportunities to connect with engineering alumni for mentorship, networking, and more. Alumni Networking Summit: Organize the annual Alumni Networking Summit which provides Queen’s students with the opportunity to network and speak candidly with alumni across different fields of work. Industry Outreach: Provide Queen’s Engineering students with direct exposure to industry through organized site visits that foster networking, career exploration, and professional growth.
