About The Position

Responsible for all purchasing pre and post launch activity focusing on the program team, supplier and customer requirements integrating data/quote management, contract negotiations, tool timing, CR/CN process flow, LearPro management, complete launch readiness, etc. THE ROLE: Your work will include, but not limited to: Main purchasing representative in projects managing all relevant Purchasing KPIs, such as component target pricing, supplier sourcing, tooling kick offs and PPAP etc. Follow project plan to support PPAP and SOP timings set by project. Purchasing interface in serial phase to continue all projects to manage relevant serial Purchasing KPIs Supports global Commodity buyers on engineering data collection and negotiations. Represents and presents Purchasing’s metrics at project management reviews. Manages serial and tooling BPOs as requested by the business. Supports VA/VE workshops and negotiation events. Coordinates internal program teams to redact SOR contract requirements. Ensures data management to meet program requirements and timelines.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Automotive cross-functional experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment.
  • Results driven and proactive approach to manage program items from inception throughout launch.
