About The Position

Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking an Intern for the summer to support the work of the Communications team. Organizational and strong writing skills required, and a willingness to work in a team-like environment is mandatory. Candidates should feel comfortable supporting the work of team members working on deadlines and juggling multiple projects at a time. Location: Position is based in Washington, D.C., or New York City, with a hybrid schedule Internship Duration: Internship will begin late-May and will end in early to mid-August. Schedule: Intern is expected to work approximately 20 hours per week. The minimum hourly rate for this position is $18.00. Primary Responsibilities: Assist the team in developing media lists and identifying new reporters from traditional and non-traditional media Track incoming press requests and send daily clips Support the team with drafting content and identifying new and emerging trends Assist the team in its day-to-day operations Qualifications: Currently enrolled college students are encouraged to apply; relevant experience in the field is also welcome Willingness to work with a growing team in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment An interest in project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities Excellent writing abilities An interest in gun violence prevention Bilingual candidates, especially candidates with both verbal and written fluency in Spanish, will be strongly considered Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
