About The Position

Support the organization's brand presence and public image through the research, development, and delivery of clear, compelling, and consistent written communications across multiple digital and traditional platforms. This role is responsible for producing high-quality content, supporting social media and content strategies, and ensuring alignment with branding, messaging, and search engine optimization best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • One to three years professional experience in communications, content creation, or public relations.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Produce written content for various online platforms, including website articles, blog posts, social media posts, email newsletters, and other digital communications.
  • Research, validate, and develop clear, engaging, and accurate content that adheres to established branding, messaging, and style guidelines.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify social media best practices, emerging trends, and audience insights.
  • Build and execute social media strategies, including platform selection, benchmarking, messaging development, audience identification, and content planning.
  • Track, analyze, and report on content and social media performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness, audience demographics, and traffic trends.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, and cross-functional teams to brainstorm ideas, develop content strategies, and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all communication channels.
  • Incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) best practices into all written materials to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Ensure all content meets quality standards for grammar, spelling, flow, tone, and style appropriate to the target audience and communication objective.
  • Utilize content management systems and related tools to prepare, organize, and publish materials efficiently.
  • Support efforts to maintain and enhance a favorable public image for the organization through thoughtful messaging and content development.
