We offer a hybrid schedule with three days in our Andover, Ma corporate office (Tuesday-Thursday). The salary range for this role is $65-75k The Communications Specialist role is responsible for creating and implementing communications content and contributing to programs that actively engage its audiences. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will translate business strategies into key messages, develop appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and execute and drive programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture. Please have proven ability to execute communications plans, strong writing skills, and a natural ability to think strategically while delivering tactical results. This role works with management to communicate new information and promote the company’s special strengths and values.

  • Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Help create a best-in-class communications function across the cooperative that fuels employee and member engagement, influences connectivity and culture, and positively impacts the cooperative.
  • Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (both visual and written storytelling, presentations materials, etc.) to articulate key messages.
  • Write and edit a variety of communications materials, including letters, newsletters, website content, internal communications, talking points, and consumer responses.
  • Ensure communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with company priorities and themes.
  • Use internal tools as appropriate to maximize the company’s internal communication effectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery and identity.
  • Support communications planning and execution for key events such as webinars, Town Halls, member and employee meetings, and the Annual Meeting.
  • Assist in writing and editing impactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotes programs and initiatives in support of the company’s goals and culture.
  • Collaborate to create and maintain content for employee communication channels, and partners with the broader Marketing and IS departments to explore and recommend new channels or technologies where possible.
  • Develop and maintains communications Standard Operating Procedures, templates, and policies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
