About The Position

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. As a Community Development Manager, you will combine your community engagement and industry knowledge to support Google’s infrastructure growth. You will support Google Data Centers (GDCs) community development and workforce innovation goals by providing data-driven insights and programmatic engagement based on community assessments for existing and prospective data center markets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience developing and launching local, state, national or global public-private partnerships.
  • 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: data centers, utilities, government, or advanced manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global data center community development strategies, investments, and impact.
  • Engage with key opinion formers, community groups, industry partners, and educational institutions to ensure initiatives center on community needs and business objectives.
  • Develop strategies to scale sub-regional Community Affairs coverage in emerging markets, utilizing place-based frameworks to turn research data into actionable development plans.
  • Create communication tools and processes to educate communities about data centers, implementing locally focused, self-sustaining initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Energy, Government Affairs, Cloud Supply Chain, and local Google data center teams.
