Ensure that Truist is adequately meeting the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Lending, Investment and Servicing test and goals to successfully pass CRA exams by creating outreach events and activities that engage teammates, clients and community partners in low- and moderate-income geographies throughout the Truist footprint. Ensuring that Truist is also creating outreach events and activities that engage teammates, clients and community partners in underserved geographies to align with Fair and Responsible Banking obligations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. • Collaboration with community-based organizations (i.e. local non-profits, local trade associations, faith-based organizations) to create outreach opportunities in low-and-moderate income and underserved geographies and increase opportunities to enhance financial literacy that will foster community growth through homeownership. • Collaboration with internal partners (i.e. loan originations, branch partners, CRA, small business, wealth) to create outreach opportunities that will offer a full suite of financial solutions in the communities we serve, specifically low-and-moderate income and underserved geographies. • Explore and deliver CRA volunteer opportunities where there is a large concentration of Truist teammates throughout the footprint. • Manage Community Advisory Council relationships and meetings by engaging community partners quarterly to share and develop opportunities that foster community growth. • Manage Performance Grant relationships in collaboration with sales partners to create opportunities to provide financial and homebuyer education in low- and moderate income and underserved geographies. • Manage monthly/quarterly reporting to show outreach efforts and opportunities as it relates to department goals. • Manage and coordinate project planning activities associated with outreach events by devising a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the outreach in alignment with the business strategy. • Understanding of the expectations of the outreach events including defining problems, scoping the parameters, collaboration across teams and lines of business and identifying structures of authority for process and decision to determine resource requirements. • Measure outreach project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques for reporting up to Community Outreach and Engagement Leader. • Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule and cost. Manages comprehensive documentation around the outreach event to identify and resolve issues and escalate more complex issues to Community Outreach and Engagement Leader as needed. Serves as an individual contributor and works under general guidance. • Perform risk management to minimize risk associated with outreach projects. Identifies and resolves potential obstacles associated with outreach project inclusive of timelines, budgets, cost adjustments and resources.
