As a Community Living Floater with Easterseals, you'll work alongside people with disabilities to help them thrive in their homes and their community. The Community Living Floater provides daily assistance and supports for individuals with disabilities living in their home. This position provides support, education and advocacy as outlined in the individual's support plan and ensures supports provided meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards. Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least one year experience providing direct supports to individuals with disabilities or group health care experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to work with a variety of computer systems.
  • A driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation are required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience providing direct support to individuals with disabilities, including at least 1 year experience providing direct support to individuals requiring a high level of behavioral support.
  • This position may work day, evening, night and/or weekend hours depending on the needs of the organization. Overtime hours may be required depending on schedule and organizational need.
  • This position requires driving personal or company vehicle. Transports individuals to doctor's appointments, community activities, shopping, etc.
  • Must have reliable vehicle and maintain current driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
  • Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
