Crystal Dynamics invites dedicated individuals to apply for a remote internship that begins with a short onboarding experience at our San Carlos, CA studio. As part of this 12-week program, you will take part in meaningful, hands-on work that contributes directly to active AAA projects. Throughout the program, you will step into a professional development environment where ongoing projects, experienced mentors, and collaborative teams give you a direct view into AAA game creation. This internship is designed to help you build industry ready skills, form strong professional relationships, and deepen your understanding of how world class games are made!

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a college Junior or Senior (Seniors could have graduated in Fall/Winter 2025 or will be graduating in Spring 2026).
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Art, Game Art, Game Development, or related fields.
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hrs / week) for the duration of the program (June 1st –August 21st, 2026).
  • Able to work onsite at our studio in San Carlos, CA for the first week of onboarding.
  • Able to work remotely for the remaining 11 weeks post-onboarding or hybrid from our San Carlos office.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Submission of a complete application that includes a resume and cover letter.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of foundational community management principals, including one or more of the following:
  • Experience monitoring or participating in online communities (Reddit, Discord, forums, or social platforms).
  • Examples of identifying trends, sentiment, or notable conversations within gaming or online communities.
  • Familiarity with user-generated content, fan communities, or creator ecosystems.
  • Exposure to industry-standard marketing and communication tools, platforms, or analytics dashboards.
  • Industry involvement outside classroom curriculum such as game jams, personal projects and/or contributions to group projects that show going above and beyond.
  • Willingness to tackle challenges, learn from feedback, and adapt to new tools or workflows.
  • Ability to communicate your ideas with eagerness to learn and turn feedback into action.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire essential skills using industry-standard tools and software such as social media management platforms, analytics tools, content scheduling software, and digital design tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, native platform tools, Google Analytics, Sprinkler, or similar).
  • Assist with community and brand efforts by tracking player sentiment across platforms, surfacing and escalating key insights, supporting scheduling and coordination, moderating discussions, and identifying user-generated content opportunities aligned with the game’s IP.
  • Support mid, senior, and lead marketing and community team members by assisting with community monitoring, maintaining scheduling workflows for content, capturing meeting notes, and helping compile insights for reports and internal updates.
  • Enhance your understanding of how player sentiment, community insights, and user-generated content inform brand strategy.

  • Compensation for this internship is $20-25 per hour, plus a stipend to help with expenses during the duration of the program.
