About The Position

This role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic community professional who thrives at the intersection of marketing, engagement, and developer ecosystems. You will lead the planning, execution, and growth of community programs, ranging from meetups and online forums to ambassador initiatives. By managing events, online interactions, and content, you will help build an active, vibrant, and engaged developer audience. Your work will directly influence product and marketing decisions while amplifying the company’s community presence. This role blends strategic thinking with operational execution, requiring both creativity and meticulous attention to detail. It offers the chance to shape scalable programs that strengthen relationships across a global, technical community.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in community management, marketing, or program management, preferably in developer-focused, open-source, or cloud-native ecosystems.
  • Proven track record of executing community programs and events from conception to reporting.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple programs with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Experience with community platforms (Discord, CommonRoom) and CRM/marketing tools (HubSpot, Asana).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams, making decisions, and building relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Analytical mindset to track KPIs, generate insights, and recommend improvements.
  • Strong content instincts for creating engaging and reusable community assets.
  • Familiarity with developer or open-source communities and understanding of what drives engagement.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and logistical coordination skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with developer tools, platform engineering products, or ambassador/MVP programs.
  • Prior experience organizing events in tech hubs like San Francisco, Austin, NYC, or London.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, launch, and manage community programs end-to-end, including meetups, virtual events, Discord engagement, and ambassador programs.
  • Coordinate logistics for events and programs, including venues, vendors, swag fulfillment, RSVPs, run-of-show, and post-event reporting.
  • Maintain vibrant, active online communities by moderating, creating prompts, running AMAs, and engaging with participants daily.
  • Track community health and performance metrics across tools such as CommonRoom, Discord, HubSpot, and related platforms.
  • Capture and amplify community insights, program highlights, and success stories into blogs, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Marketing, and internal stakeholders to align community initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Support and grow ambassador programs, managing recognition, logistics, and measuring contributions to ensure program success.
