About The Position

The Community Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, universities, and families. This position will be in person and will focus on planning and executing initiatives that promote awareness of our services and enhance our community engagement. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary point person for the clinic's culture committee, ensuring a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., communications, education, healthcare, or social work) preferred.
  • Previous experience in community outreach, event planning, or working in a clinical or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Canva, MailChimp, Google Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Summer Camp Planning and Implementation : Design and coordinate engaging summer camp programs aligned with the clinic's mission and goals. Collaborate with the clinical team to develop themes, activities, and schedules.
  • University Liaison : Build and maintain partnerships with universities and academic programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for university faculty and students.
  • Intern Placement : Oversee the placement of university interns within the clinic. Coordinate onboarding and ensure interns have a productive and positive experience.
  • Community Outreach : Plan, execute and attend community outreach events, such as health fairs, career fairs, conferences, educational workshops, awareness days and special events such as the Fall Festival and Sensory Friendly Movie Nights. Promote clinic services to community members and local organizations. Promote job postings to pertinent audiences. Creating and publishing the staff and parent newsletter Develop and manage social media posts and marketing materials
  • Free Screening Days : Organize and coordinate free screening days for children in the community. Ensure proper scheduling, staffing, and marketing for screening events.
  • Culture Committee Leadership : Serve as the primary point person for the clinic's culture committee. Facilitate committee meetings to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Plan, implement and attend initiatives that enhance team morale, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Collaboration and Reporting : Work closely with the Clinical Director to align outreach efforts with clinic goals. Provide regular updates and reports on outreach activities and their impact.
  • Additional tasks as assigned to support the administrative team.
