About The Position

The Community Outreach Coordinator develops, implements, and evaluates community education initiatives that support Lifebanc’s mission. This role expands community awareness of Lifebanc’s services, strengthens partnerships across the region, and ensures educational programming is accessible and culturally responsive. The ideal candidate excels in program coordination and delivery, public speaking, and relationship-building with diverse community groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in community outreach, education, public speaking, and/or nonprofit program coordination.
• Minimum two years’ experience in community engagement preferably with or within healthcare and/or non-profit organizations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong presentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with the ability to travel locally.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to engage with diverse communities, manage emotions under pressure and exhibit a commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity in the workplace and the community.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Multilingual candidates strongly preferred, especially Spanish speaking.
• Knowledge of multicultural organizations, diverse communities, and faith-based networks throughout Northeast Ohio is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational workshops, presentations, and community-focused events.
• Adapt and tailor educational materials for multiple audiences, including schools, community organizations, and service providers.
• Develop, review, and present culturally sensitive curriculum for a variety of community groups.
• Coordinate logistics for outreach events (scheduling, materials, registration, communication, and follow-up).
• Participate in educational activities to enhance understanding of organ and tissue donation processes.
• Support volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination for school and community outreach activities.
• Represent Lifebanc at community meetings, health fairs, coalitions, and partner events.
• Conduct targeted outreach to underserved, multicultural, and linguistically diverse populations.
• Assist in the development and execution of strategic community outreach marketing and engagement programs to increase donor registration rates.
• Track program participation, feedback, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and maintenance of program documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure outreach efforts align with organizational goals and strategic priorities and confirm initiatives are properly represented and communicated across all channels
• Coordinate inventory and distribution of outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, and branded promotional items.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
