Community Relations Manager
About The Position
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for serving as Universal Kids Resort’s (UKR) representative in the community, establishing and enhancing key partnerships, and overseeing the company’s community relations strategy implementation. Uses initiative and good judgment; works independently with little supervision and maintains strict confidentiality. Works closely with leadership on the implementation of annual strategic plan. Oversees charitable donations and community involvement. Manages the portfolio of Community Relations’ Team Member Engagement programs while demonstrating goodwill to non-profit groups and individuals. Manages the UKR Volunteer Program, Matching Gifts and Supply Drives.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ community relations experience is required with an emphasis on charitable giving/non-profit organizations preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and manages key relationships with local non-profit organizations in the community and enhance current external relationships.
- Serves as UKR representative and point of contact in the community.
- Implements the company’s annual community relations strategic plan and initiatives in alignment with Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Global Community Relations team.
- Oversees corporate donation and compassion programs.
- Develops annual goals, action item plans, and event management related to community relations efforts.
- Manages UKR’s Volunteer Program working closely with UDX Global Community Relations team.
- Partners with non-profit organizations to identify volunteer opportunities and measure impact.
- Creates marketing and communication materials in support of the program.
- Manages operational aspects of the Community Relations Team Member Engagement programs.
- Responsible for developing annual goals and action item plans.
- Manages MyImpact/software platform and serves as liaison with UDX Global Community Relations team.
- Oversees vetting process for corporate Matching Gifts program.
- Reviews new organizations and serves as direct liaison to UDX Global Community Relations team.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
