About The Position

FlipStar Gymnastics Academy is hiring a Competitive Team Coach to join our USAG program. We are looking for either: An experienced optional-level coach, or A strong cultural fit ready to grow into higher-level coaching At FlipStar, coaching is treated as a professional role. Our competitive coaches focus on athlete development, progression, team culture, and not administrative overload. THE ROLE Deliver high-quality gymnastics instruction with strong emphasis on technique, safety, and progression Contribute to athlete development within the USAG pathway Support positive, structured team culture Represent FlipStar professionally at meets and events Collaborate with leadership on program alignment and growth Administrative communication, billing, enrollment logistics, and front desk responsibilities are handled by dedicated support staff. WHY FLIPSTAR Many gyms expect competitive coaches to manage all parent communication, meet registrations, billing issues, and scheduling alone. That is not our model. We operate with: Dedicated administrative support Defined leadership structure Two purpose-built facilities (Rec Campus and Team Campus) Systems designed to reduce burnout and create stability COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE This is a full-time salaried position compensated depending on experience. While some programs may advertise higher hourly rates, those roles often require coaches to carry full operational responsibility independently. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years competitive coaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of USAG Code and athlete progression
  • Professional leadership presence
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace and industry software such as iClassPro
  • Ability to collaborate within a structured coaching team
  • First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Paid for 40 hours per week
  • 38 hours a week scheduled
  • 5 evenings per week (4:00pm – 9pm)
  • 1 weekday morning (9am – 2:00pm)
  • Saturday morning (8:00am – 12:30pm)
