This position is for a Designer to support internal/external customers by creating design and manufacturing data. Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Conduct research for information on existing drawings, hardware, vendor parts, etc. relating to job task. Evaluate customer requirements and provides recommendations related to the design. Identify problems and provides solutions to designs. Coordinate design work with other departments, engineers, and designers as required. in order to complete in a timely manner.Additional Functions: Enforce safety rules and procedures. . Ensure application of all Gulfstream regulations and policies. .Perform other duties as assigned. This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Bachelor's Degree Drafting, Design Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Proficient in operating CAD equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with business aircraft cabin design and development.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed aircraft interior layout drawings from written customer specifications.
- Conduct reviews with internal Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to evaluate and finalize design drawings for external customer approval.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models to support the manufacturing of exterior paint schemes.
- Create 2D drawings for flooring layouts and other various manufacturing aids.
- Create and maintain various drawings to reflect evolving Program, Customer and/or Engineering requirements.
- Assist Sales and Engineering with innovative solutions for custom requirements.
