About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role will also involve identifying and mitigating compliance risks, providing guidance and training to employees, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth while maintaining a strong compliance posture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 4 years of experience in supply chain compliance, government contracting compliance, audit readiness, procurement/subcontract administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply subcontracting compliance concepts in practice.
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel (comfort working with large datasets; pivots/lookups; ability to build recurring metrics and reporting).
  • Strong knowledge of a regulated environment and documentation discipline;
  • FAR/DFARS familiarity.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting CPSR activities and/or U.S. Government oversight reviews.
  • Experience with Excel and Power BI for dashboards and automation.
  • Experience with M365, SharePoint, and source-to-pay tools (Teams/Ivalua/Coupa/etc.).
  • Ship repair industry experience or relevant military/DoD contracting experience.
  • SBLO certification (preferred, not required).
  • Relevant credentials: CCEP, Lean Six Sigma (YB/GB), NCMA/contracting or other supply chain associations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compliance support and oversight across three shipyards, ensuring consistent execution of supply chain compliance processes and reporting.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for site-level compliance questions, escalations, and corrective action coordination.
  • Support standardization of policies, procedures, reference materials, and compliance tools to ensure resources remain current and accurate.
  • Conduct compliance reviews of supply chain transactions and files (e.g., procurements, subcontract documentation and supplier records) using defined checklists and sampling approaches.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence (traceability, retention, version control) and support audit requests.
  • Drive corrective actions to closure across multiple stakeholders; track progress, validate completion, and reduce recurrence.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate compliance metrics and recurring reporting to management.
  • Create and deliver compliance training and communications and ensure stakeholders understand compliance responsibilities.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and standards.
