About The Position

As a Composites Operator I , you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes setting up and operating machinery that pultrudes raw materials into forms and shapes, monitoring the equipment and materials are kept stocked, as well as adhering to safety, cleanliness and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with prior hands-on, vocational, or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience
• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools is an asset
• Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings

Responsibilities

• Form shapes of materials using various manufacturing equipment
• Select and install machine components, such as dies, spacers, shims and/or stops according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices
• Package and/or skid finished materials as per work order instructions
• Record and maintain production data
• Clean dies and molds, using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads or air hoses
• Other duties as assigned
