Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? This posting is for the position of Deputy Design technical supervisor of Compression Systems Advanced Engine Programs (AEP). Candidate should be leadership oriented, and highly motivated. This individual will lead the design team administratively and technically under the guidance of the Associate Director, whom the candidate reports to. Deputy needs ability to represent or stand in for supervisor when unavailable. Responsibilities include integration within the AEP CIPT, and with partners, mating modules and system design disciplines in execution of design tasks supporting an array of AEP programs. CSMC AEP covers tasks of both Commercial and Military nature and is responsible for Design from nosecone/spinner through HPC EGV. Therefore, candidates with experience throughout; Compressor part families, and modules of civil and military application are the most suited for position. Role requires exceptional people and problem solving skills, task execution accountability, and enabling staffing strategies that fulfill the business and Program needs. Candidate provides oversite and approval of standard work and product definition, staff career development and coordination of Product Review Database entries, including records and action item/review closure. What You Will Learn AEP tasks run a large gamut of assignments. Currently FAA CLEEN III – noise reduction, Eagle Blend Fan & HPC rigs – increased airfoil blend allowance, HPC Technology Rig(s), JetZero – PW2040 on new airframe, SWITCH – enable hybrid electric testing, AMPS (Collaborative Combat Aircraft) – inlet generator support on PWC engine, Composite Fan blade and associated module technologies. These are the major programs. There are other tasks like; Cycle Studies being performed, technologies advanced and process innovation ongoing.
