About The Position

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking Full-Time, Computer Programmers, Journeyman-level, to join our Naval Enterprise Research Data Science (NERDS) team at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL. NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies. The Computer Programmer will work as a member of our Rapid Design, Development and Fabrication (RD2F) Laboratory, Agile team. The Computer Programmer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Essential Job Duties: Create special effects and animations for modeling and simulation technologies, including traditional simulation and scene graphs, mixed-reality, game-based virtual environments, virtual and augmented realities, (VR, AR). Code, test and debug application enhancements and revisions, along with integrating graphics and user interfaces. Create, modify and test the code, forms, and script. Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals. Analyzing user needs and designing software solutions. Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. Comply with Naval Cyber Security Rules and Regulations. Comply with Naval software development and maintenance Rules and Regulations. Comply with BOL server policies and procedures and configuration control requirements related to software development and maintenance. Comply with Naval Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements and regulations. Work with high level programming languages such as: C++, C#, JAVA: Scripting languages such as: REACT, Python, JavaScript, VB Script, LUA, XML, ASP, ASP.Net and HTML. Travel Requirements: N/A

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience performing the essential job duties listed above.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment, including active participation in ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming, and estimation activities using tools like Jira story points.
  • Experience with creating special effects or animations using film, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in products, such as computer games, training systems, movies, music videos, and commercials.
  • Experience with computer Graphics and Animation
  • Experience with 3D Modeling, Texturing, Digital Sculpting Retopology, 3D Animation, Lighting Hard Surface Texturing.
  • Experience creating 3D assets while having them Textured and ready to be used in engines such as Unity or Unreal.
  • Experience with design tools such as: Maya Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Unity Unreal Engine.
  • B.S. in computer engineering, computer science or related technical field with strong emphasis on software programming.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
