About The Position

The Computer Scientist - Telemetry Arbiter will lead software and systems engineering services, within a project task. You will identify potential risks, provide technical guidance, foster collaboration to achieve development goals, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure system stability to meet schedule test goals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Docker, Linux, and C++
  • Proficiency in network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, socket programming)
  • Data source principles with an understanding of time synchronization and real-time systems
  • API design and development for Telemetry Front End (TFE) processors
  • Experience with data serialization formats
  • Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with telemetry standards (IRIG 106, IRIG 218-10 specifically)
  • Familiarity with the application of industry standard hardware & software design and documentation techniques with systems engineering and software development lifecycles
  • The incumbent must have a bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and at least 4 years of related experience or have a master's degree in an associated discipline and at least 2 years of experience, or a PhD in an associated discipline.
  • Incumbent must possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience with computer based systems and applications.
  • Must have programming skills in languages used for job specific programming tasks, and familiarization with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniques.
  • Applicant must have experience with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
