About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Senior Computer Systems Architect to work for our company. Summary: Client Agency is Customs & Border Protection Overseesthe computer system operations in an organization. Acting as a technical expertin the area ofsystem administration for complex operating systems. Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration. Assigns personnel to variousprojects,directs their activities. Independently performs a variety of system design tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with design and implementation of major enterprise systems development and integration, including supporting personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment. Supervisesteamof Sr. Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, Sr. Network Engineers, and Network Engineers through project completion and is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more specific areas of computer system design and networking. Plans and performs systems and networking engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with system and network design, engineering, and customer specifications. Provides expertise on an as-needed basis to all task assignments.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability.(Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Bachelor'sdegreerequired.
  • Minimum of ten (10) of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of at leastone scriptinglanguage.
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks.
  • Knowledge of system security techniques
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the computer system operations in an organization.

  • Plans and performs systems and networking engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with system and network design, engineering, and customer specifications.
  • Provides expertise on an as-needed basis to all task assignments.
