About the position

This full-time Computer Technician position is responsible for the technician operations process. The Computer Technician will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality, and be well-versed in computer systems and network functions.

Responsibilities

  • Repairing and refurbishing donated computers
  • Work with managers on improving process
  • Computer troubleshooting
  • Hard drive sanitization
  • Disk imaging
  • Automated operating system installation
  • Disassembling computers
  • Assembling computers
  • Computer repairs
  • Telephone technical support
  • Computer loading/unloading
  • Refurbish desktops and laptops
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Provide customer support
  • Upgrade online orders
  • Understanding of various images needed for devices
  • Meet daily and weekly refurbish goal
  • Understand KPI goals and meet them
  • Maintain clean and organized work space
  • QC hard drives
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent required
  • Computer repair and refurbishing experience
  • Windows deployment and imaging experience a plus
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds repetitively
  • Passion for computers and technology
  • Ability to estimate and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer/internet experience in working in Windows PC environment a must
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be flexible, resilient and open to change
  • Must be a self-starter with strong motivation and desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to work in a general warehouse environment
