About The Position

This position will function as a plant operator for the mine concentrator and surface facilities. The primary job functions will include operating the plant crushing, grinding, flotation, and concentrate handling systems; monitoring and recording information to ensure proper plant performance; making process decisions using the DCS control system; checking, adjusting and mixing reagent chemicals; operating forklifts and skid steer loader; operating surface loader and haul truck; and performing clean up in all mill areas as directed. Secondary functions may include assisting maintenance crews and performing other duties as assigned by the discretion of a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven safety record
  • Understanding of and strong commitment to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Basic computer skills

  • Mobile equipment operating experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Process plant experience - grinding and flotation
