Concierge - PRN
About The Position
Under the direction of the Security & Hospitality Manager, the Concierge serves as the first point of contact and initial ambassador to Village On The Isle. By welcoming all who visit or call Village On The Isle in a warm, helpful and competent manner, the Concierge plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression. The Concierge is responsible for facilitating communications for residents and staff. The Concierge respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. This is a safety sensitive position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS It is understood that every incidental duty connected with operations listed in the job description is not always specifically described, and that employees, at the discretion of management, may be required to perform duties not within their job descriptions. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in communications or reception
- Possess or ability to learn and operate a PBX system and radio base unit within three months of employment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
- Answers all telephone calls that come into the main switchboard and transfers the calls appropriately
- Greets and welcomes all visitors to and vendors of Village On The Isle and ensures proper sign-in protocol is followed
- Initiates, listens and responds, as necessary, to radio transmissions involving residents or staff
- Maintains the Concierge Resident Directory and Data Sheet
- Safeguards confidential resident information and does not communicate it to anyone not authorized to have access to that information
- Attends all in-service trainings and meetings
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
