About The Position

ROSS Companies is looking for an experienced Concierge for a community in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent services to residents while operating from the front desk, while taking the lead in community social event planning. The Concierge is the “go-to” community representative who will provide services from work requests to reservations, to providing detailed information on the community.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months of reception or office experience.
Basic knowledge of appropriate and effective conduct during emergency situations.
Demonstrated organizational and administrative abilities.
Excellent phone etiquette, interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills.
Professional appearance.
One year previous experience with multi-line phone system and/or customer service.

Responsibilities

The Concierge greets residents, customers, vendors, and visitors determining the nature of their business and directs them accordingly.
Receives maintenance requests from residents and determines if the request is an emergency, reacting appropriately.
The position is responsible for the accountability of various resident parcel deliveries and contacting the resident to inform them of the delivery.
The Concierge answers community calls and routes to the appropriate person or location taking messages as necessary.
The position maintains pertinent telephone and visitor records.
Ensures that resident correspondence is accurately placed in resident mailboxes, if applicable.
Maintain resident telephone listing.
Work with Property Manager to develop, schedule, and host resident functions.
Enter Maintenance Service Requests in Yardi, as directed.
Assist residents with various tasks including making reservations, arranging spa services, and taxi/transportation services.
Other duties as assigned.
