About The Position

CHC is seeking an experienced and hands-on Concrete Foreman to lead concrete operations on FDOT, bridge, and heavy civil projects . This role requires strong leadership in the field, deep knowledge of DOT concrete standards, and the ability to coordinate crews to deliver high-quality work safely, on schedule, and to specification. Candidate must be able to travel to multiple jobsites throughout Florida. Duties Supervise and coordinate concrete crews on DOT roadway and bridge projects Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to ensure productivity and quality Interpret plans, specifications, and FDOT standards for concrete placement Oversee formwork, reinforcing steel installation, pours, finishing, and curing Ensure compliance with FDOT, project specifications, and quality control requirements Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors Monitor jobsite safety and enforce OSHA and company safety policies Inspect work in progress and completed work for accuracy and quality Track labor, materials, and equipment usage Train, mentor, and support crew members to improve performance and skills Maintain daily reports, pour logs, and other project documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in concrete construction, with a strong focus on DOT concrete and bridge work
  • Proven experience as a Concrete Foreman or Lead on heavy civil projects
  • In-depth knowledge of FDOT specifications, concrete mixes, placement methods, and inspection processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel to multiple jobsites throughout Florida
