Condition-Based Maintenance Analyst & Supervisor Key Responsibilities 1. CBM / PdM Program Leadership Maintain and improve the site CBM strategy aligned with asset criticality and business risk. Identify appropriate predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis, motor diagnostics, etc.). Define monitoring frequencies based on P-F intervals and failure mode analysis. Ensure proper asset hierarchy and failure coding in CMMS. Optimize routes and data collection standards. Lead CBM program maturity assessments and continuous improvement. 2. Data Analysis & Failure Prevention Analyze condition monitoring data to detect emerging failure modes. Translate findings into actionable work requests with clear scope and priority. Determine corrective recommendations based on risk and financial impact. Partner with planners to ensure high-quality job plans. Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when failures occur despite monitoring. 3. Work Control Integration Ensure CBM findings flow properly into the Work Request → Planning → Scheduling → Execution process. Establish prioritization criteria aligned with risk. Monitor schedule compliance for CBM-generated work. Prevent CBM from becoming a “parallel system” disconnected from the maintenance workflow. 4. Team Supervision & Development Supervise CBM analyst and technicians. Provide technical mentoring and certification guidance. Establish standard operating procedures and quality checks. Evaluate performance through leading indicators (detection effectiveness, precision maintenance compliance, forecast accuracy). 5. Reliability & Continuous Improvement Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to: Improve maintainability. Eliminate chronic defects. Support Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) reviews. Use data to reduce unnecessary PM tasks and improve proactive maintenance ratios. Report reliability trends to leadership using financial translation (risk avoided, cost prevented, downtime prevented). 6. Reporting & KPIs Track and report: % Planned vs Reactive Work CBM Detection Rate Failure Avoidance Savings Schedule Compliance Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) P-F interval compliance Develop dashboards for leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in maintenance/reliability roles.
  • Certification in vibration analysis – minimum Category II ISO/ASNT
  • Certification in either thermography, oil analysis, or ultrasound.
  • CMMS proficiency.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CMRP, CMRT, or CRL certification.
  • Category III or higher vibration analysis certification
  • Experience implementing CBM programs from early maturity.
  • Experience facilitating RCA and FMEA sessions.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles.
