About The Position

Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us for conferences and workshops. Duties similar to those of a hotel front desk attendant. Welcome guests, Check in and Check out guests in summer housing, provide customer service support as needed.

  • Prior customer service or conference experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Be punctual for scheduled shifts.
  • Once scheduled, you are responsible for either working the shift or finding an approved substitute.
  • Communicate changes in your availability and requested days off, following deadlines.
  • Thoroughly and concisely communicate information to guests and other staff members.
  • Limit distractions when working, including visitors to your work area and phone/computer distractions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests assembled with us for conferences and workshops.
  • Provide information to guests surrounding their conference arrangements, Miami University and Oxford, Ohio.
  • Follow established procedures to check guests in and out of their residence hall rooms, ensuring that security and safety measures are performed when distributing and collecting guest room keys.
  • Properly record information on housing roster and key reports
  • Communicate information through the log book from one shift to the next.
  • Communicate information with the Conference Service Staff and Residence Hall Housekeeping Staff.
