About our property: Skamania Lodge is a Pacific Northwest resort set on 175 acres, featuring treehouses, glamping, golf, ziplining, a spa, and multiple restaurants. With over 22,000 sq. ft. of event space, it’s a premier destination for retreats, conferences, and celebrations. #PGH-SKL What you will have an opportunity to do: Manages assigned events with introductory call, continual follow up with clients, coordination of details, and completion of accurate Banquet Event Orders on a timely basis. Communicates all changes on Banquet Event Orders to other departments. Personally, meets meeting planners upon arrival to finalize any arrangements and to orient the client to the facility and staff. Introduces planner to operations team. Ensures billing is correct before sent to client. Handles client billing questions efficiently and expediently. Processes any vendor invoices for payment. Completes follow up correspondence to clients and vendors as needed. Completes special projects as assigned by the Conference Director. Attend BEO, pick-up and operations meetings. Attend other meetings as needed. Conducts planning tours of the property to clients and outside vendors. Manage guestroom needs. Conduct pre-convention meetings as needed. Communicate clearly, timely and concisely via email, phone and in-person with clients and co-workers. Continuously improve through feedback. Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills. Openness to feedback. Requires knowledge of specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field. May require knowledge of policies and procedures, and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines. Able to demonstrate and maintain consistent and efficient performance. Able to accomplish projects in a timely manner. Able to multi-task at a high level.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years job-related experience.
  • Complete knowledge of MS office.
  • Familiarity with Delphi.
  • Requires knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Requires knowledge of specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field.
  • May require knowledge of policies and procedures, and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines.
  • Able to demonstrate and maintain consistent and efficient performance.
  • Able to accomplish projects in a timely manner.
  • Able to multi-task at a high level.
