About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a well-qualified Configuration Analyst to be a part of our dynamic team located at the Surface Combat System Center located at Wallops Island, Virginia. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future. The selected candidate will Support all configuration management processes that provide for identifying, documenting and controlling the configuration of Hardware and Software Baselines in support of US naval ships Coordinate and analyze moderately complex technical documents and alterations / Ship Change Documents as part of the configuration planning and identification process, support the site Configuration Control processes as well as providing timely configuration status accounting reports

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of two (2) years experience in the configuration management process for both hardware and software.
  • Must be proficient in MICROSOFT office applications and posses good verbal and written communication skills.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance.
  • You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience in preparing configuration change documentation and configuration status reports
  • Familiarity with and / or experience in configuration management support military contracts
  • Knowledge with Navy Data Environment - Navy Modernization (NDS_NM), NDE-Entitled Process (NDE-EP), Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS), or other complex databases
