About The Position

Under the direction of the Discipleship Pastor, the Connections Director will facilitate the day-to-day needs and assist with the large-scale events/projects of the Connections Ministry. The Connections Director's primary responsibility is to oversees the process of assimilating people from when someone new comes to CBC through membership with some post-membership responsibilities. (The Connections Director is primarily responsible for non-members as they make themselves known.) The Connections Director is responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects (coordination, set-up, and logistics) of: Baptism Process - from registrations for the class through administrating baptisms Start Here Process - from when someone first comes to CBC and getting them through membership Membership process - from membership class to full membership status The process of helping people get connected post-membership commitment Keeping track of and helping connect those who attend and do not go through membership Young Adult summer studies - Process of setting up classroom logistics and helping young adults join a Community Group In collaboration with the Discipleship Pastor, the Connections Director is responsible for the administration work of connecting people with Community Groups. (Receive and delegate CG applications) Recruit, train, and care for Hospitality, Coffee, Parking, and Communion volunteers Schedule Hospitality, Coffee, Parking, and Communion volunteers Serve on Hospitality, Coffee, and Parking teams when needed Facilitate communion process Manage Connections ministry supplies for Sunday gatherings and ensure all materials are available and properly stored before, during and after services. Contact guests from Sunday gatherings and inactive volunteers, encouraging connection to Community Groups, Serve Teams, and Start Here Communicate volunteer care needs with Discipleship Pastor Manage Connect Card process and resolutions Assist with regular updates & audit of membership information in membership software and assist the Discipleship Pastor with renewal process. Various projects as assigned by the Discipleship Pastor Requirements as a Staff member of CBC: A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with him that models the biblical standards of personal conduct and lifestyle. Maintain an authentic walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession of sin, fellowship and serving. Be an active member of CBC, growing in community with other believers. Support and adheres to the mission, core values, and church distinctives of CBC of Savannah, including the CBC of Savannah Statement of Faith. Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings/worship gatherings.
