About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Quality, who contributes to the optimization of quality processes, ensures compliance, and supports operational excellence across all sites. Reporting to the Superintendent, Quality, and working in a stimulating and dynamic environment within the Processing Technical Services / Operational and Technical Support sector, you will be: Support quality management initiatives across all departments, including the Sept‑Îles terminal as well as mining and processing operations in Labrador City Contribute to quality management at the Sept‑Îles ship‑loading terminal by ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of processes related to ISO 9001 certification Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal and external audits, as well as management reviews Collaborate in the handling, analysis, and follow‑up of complaints, non‑conformities, and deviations, in accordance with internal Process Requirement Specifications and external customer specifications Contribute to quality assurance activities related to iron ore shipment certification, inventory management, and traceability, with a focus on value maximization Promote and support the application of Rio Tinto’s Safe Production System quality practices across operations

Requirements

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• University degree in a scientific field or a related discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in mining, industrial, or processing environments
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple operational priorities
• Proactive, open‑minded attitude with a strong focus on continuous improvement
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec
