What You'll Do Job Summary: The Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves liaising with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This position will serve as a Turnaround Coordinator for a moderately complex TAR at the Nova site. The candidate must be able to obtain a TWIC Card and must complete the NOVA site training. Pass any necessary refinery background screening requirements We are looking for a local candidate that will not require per diem. They will be per diem eligible if necessary to support other sites and locations. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Knowledge and application of company standards. Extensive knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents environment. Ability to ensure contractor’s activities are planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner. Working closely with the construction contractor to plan and coordinate daily field and construction tasks and logistical activities. Serve as the “first line” coordinator for all contractor activities. Monitoring contractor performance against contract milestones and completion dates as well as performance as it relates to the other activities on-site to identify conflicts or potential delays. Developing work-around plans to mitigate conflicts or delays in concert with other construction coordinators. Ideal Background Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred. Experience: This position requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities. Manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experience Lead assigned turnarounds events (includes maintenance and capital projects) and manage all phases thru scoping, execution, and close-out. Establish Zero Incidents / Injury Safety Culture Manage Safety Meetings and Tool Box Meetings Determine site layout & infrastructure to support TAR needs Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates. Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
