About The Position

As a Construction Disbursement Administrator you'll be responsible for supporting the business unit in completing duties involved with the disbursement process on all construction loans. You'll work closely with lenders, borrowers, title companies, voucher control companies, and third-party vendors to assist in the facilitation of gathering the appropriate documentation in order to appropriately disburse funds associated with construction loan process. One of your key responsibilities is to collaborate with appropriate parties to review the loan budgets and new loan setups, evaluate draw packages, draw fundings, track collateral movement and managing pre and post-construction processes to ensure the bank satisfies its responsibilities. You'll work closely with our lender’s construction risk managers and our credit/management team to ensure transactions are clearing as expected with little delays. Responsible for supporting the business unit in the ordering of third-party cost/construction reviews. Serve as a liaison between loan closers, underwriters, Relationship Managers and Construction Risk Administration prior to boarding loans. Ensure submissions comply with bank policies and procedures, and that completed documentation is accurate and properly maintained. Prepare the orders and review construction-oriented title endorsements as outlined in the lender’s closing instruction letter and/or loan agreement and respond to inquiries as they arise. Ensure accurate and efficient communication to loan officers and management of liens, project budget issues, or other conditions that increase the bank’s risk. Complete disbursement requests on a portfolio of customers, lending against real estate transactions. Provide progress updates to Credit on a monthly basis. Review for any delays or exceptions prior to maturity and preemptively work with Credit on extension requests. Notify WHL Sales Officers and management of liens, project budget issues, or other conditions that increase the bank’s risk.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales, Other or similar field.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level speaking and writing communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-4 Years of Mortgage industry experience or 1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate construction lending with an emphasis on the disbursement process
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Home Builder Closer/Funder
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
