About The Position
ISI is seeking a Construction Manager to support construction management services for electrical infrastructure upgrades at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. The Construction Manager will provide oversight of electrical systems installation and ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and VA standards.
Requirements
- Four (4) year degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum six (6) years of professional engineering or construction management experience
- Fifteen (15) years of directly related construction management experience in lieu of degree. Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing facility electrical construction projects including design oversight, schedule management, cost control, and construction administration
- Experience supporting electrical infrastructure construction projects
- Experience reviewing electrical design documents
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and electrical system standards
- Experience supporting commissioning and system testing
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (NACI)
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Fayetteville, NC

- Experience supporting IT infrastructure upgrades
- Experience working within active hospital environments
- Familiarity with VA Technical Information Library (TIL) standards
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level construction management and technical oversight
- Review architectural and engineering design documents for constructability and compliance
- Monitor contractor performance for compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and change order proposals
- Provide technical recommendations to the VA Engineer and COR
- Conduct construction inspections and identify deficiencies
- Support schedule monitoring and critical path analysis
- Review cost proposals and assist with independent government estimates
- Participate in progress meetings and issue resolution
- Support commissioning coordination and quality assurance activities
- Assist in project documentation, reporting, and closeout activities
- Note: you may be required to supervise other construction managers. This decision will be made post-interview.
