About The Position

We’re looking for a Field Superintendent to join our General Contracting team! In this role, you’ll oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring quality execution, schedule adherence, and safety compliance. You’ll lead subcontractors, coordinate with project managers, and represent Buildings By Design on the ground – keeping project running smoothly from start to finish.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of three (3) years field supervisory experience at a construction company
• Current driver’s license to drive to and from the job sites.
• Heavy Equipment Operator certification.

Nice To Haves

• An Associate (AS) degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or similar
• A minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience at a construction company supervising projects greater than five ($5) million dollars
• OSHA (30 Hour Outreach) and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage a rolling three (3) week look-ahead schedule for all trades and project milestones
• Oversee field execution to ensure work meets company standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to stay on track and within scope
• Conduct and document required inspections and quality control checks using project management software
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and architects to solve problems in real time
• Monitor jobsite progress and proactively communicate issues or delays
