About The Position

VHB’s Augusta, ME office is looking for a Construction Inspection Intern to join the team for Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to grow professionally
• Ability to work well in team-oriented structure
• MS Office Suite skills
• Currently pursuing undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• VHB does not provide housing for internships.

Nice To Haves

• Prior civil engineering/construction inspection internship experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction to provide assurance that the project is being constructed in accordance with approved plans and specifications
• Perform quantity computations from field collected measurements and record the data for project records
• Document construction activities in daily electronic reports
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer to address Contractors’ questions
