As Construction Inspector II in the Port’s landside construction program at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you will perform inspection work for roadway, utility, garage, and other infrastructure projects at SEA. In this role, you will ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and contract requirements on construction projects. You will evaluate, assess, and resolve issues at the field level and coordinate construction activities with project leaders and stakeholders. You will coordinate and/or conduct on‐site inspections and facilitate testing and special inspections. You will verify field measurements/quantities for contract payments, monitor key compliance issues, such as Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC), and ensure that a quality assurance/control program is developed and enforced. You will participate in managing and inspecting project punch list process. You will coordinate complex utility shutdown requests for projects, resolve potential impacts with customers, tenants and Port departments. You will prepare and maintain documentation for multiple projects, including inspection logs, daily reports, force accounts, materials testing, photos, and other construction records for assigned construction projects. You will update design plans/drawings based on changes that occur during construction to ensure drawings are an accurate representation of work performed. You will document contractor work that is out of compliance or deficient and initiate Non‐Conformance Report (NCR) process. You will participate in planning, preconstruction, coordination, progress, scheduling, and field staff meetings. You will also participate in the development of Construction Management policies and procedures. You will coordinate and communicate complex construction activities between contractors, tenants, stakeholders, other Port departments, and the general public.
